Professor Anderson-Butcher Recipient of Miami University Alumni Award
Dawn Anderson-Butcher, associate professor in the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University, was recently presented a Profound Impact Award at Miami University. Anderson-Butcher received bachelor and master's degrees at Miami. Three awards were presented by Carine Feyten, dean of Miami's School of Education and Allied Professions (EAP). Feyten said Anderson-Butcher is rapidly becoming known for her expertise in youth development, school improvement and in evaluating intervention programs aimed at young people.
The award is new and was presented for the first time at a reception held in Oxford on April 20. The other recipients were Rex R. Bucheit and Quanyu Huang.
