Introduction
In additional to publishing in social work and other professional journals, Professor Dixon has authored two texts concerning interventions with people in crisis (one second edition) and dynamics of human behavior. He co-authored a book on criminal justice and the community with Robert Trojanowicz. Dr. Dixon has been in demand as a lecturer and workshop leader in his special areas, viz., brief treatment intervention, theory and practice of crisis intervention and on the practice of psychotherapy.

Professional Practice and Personals: Since 1986 Dr. Dixon has engaged in private practice in the Columbus community focusing mainly on family problems and mental health issues. He is currently Clinical Director of the Brookside Institute. In his private life Dr. Dixon is an avid golfer and enjoys reading works on philosophy, particularly Eastern philosophy. He is the father of two sons and a daughter from a previous marriage and has two grandchildren.
